The Mile High Harmonica Club in Denver is composed of harmonica players with a range of talents – from novice to expert. Many types of instruments are played and all types of music, including blues, bluegrass, classical, standards and jazz.
The club meetings are well attended and they give members a good chance to keep in touch with one another. Just like in school where you have to hand in homework, playing your harmonica with others sends you home with the inspiration to practice and learn some new music.
We encourage beginning players to join our harmonica club and to take lessons from our current musicians who are great harmonica players and excellent teachers. You will have a chance to jam with other harp players who have interests similar to yours and learn about different playing techniques and types of music. While at our monthly meetings you will have a chance to play at open mic sessions in front of a very friendly audience.
